Huntley Hitmen 12U wound up on the wrong side of a 8-1 score on Sunday at Melas Park #3, tasting defeat at the hands of Strike Zone Black.
Ben B was solid at the plate for Huntley Hitmen 12U. Ben went 1-2 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning.
Strike Zone Black’s Haracz, Grossman, D D and Hayes combined for five hits and four RBIs.

Huntley Hitmen 12U took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Lake County Lightning, securing a 7-5 victory on Sunday at Melas Park #3.
Huntley Hitmen 12U pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. Huntley Hitmen 12U went up for good on a two-run single by Jake R off #20, plating Jake S and Ben B.
Huntley Hitmen 12U would not relinquish the lead as the Lake County Lightning were unable to weather a four-run fifth inning deficit.
The Lake County Lightning scored three runs in the sixth on two singles. Still, the Lake County Lightning couldn’t catch Huntley Hitmen 12U.

After pushing across three runs in the top of the third, Buffalo Grove faced just a 6-5 deficit. A walk by Patel and a two-run error fueled Buffalo Grove’s comeback. Wright to end the Buffalo Grove threat.
