Huntley Hitmen 12U and Park Ridge Jr. Hawks Red both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was Huntley Hitmen 12U that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out a 5-2 win at Wheeling Heritage Park #4.

It didn’t take long for Huntley Hitmen 12U to respond as it scored one run of its own in the fourth. Huntley Hitmen 12U scored on a passed ball.

Addison Blazers increased its lead with six runs in the second. A clutch error scored Sitkowski to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Estrada’s triple, plating Castaldo and Tinajero.

Huntley Hitmen 12U lost 8-6 in seven innings at Melas Park #3 on Sunday, despite outhitting Strike Zone Black six to five.
Antonio S racked up three RBIs on three hits for Huntley Hitmen 12U. He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
The top of the first saw Huntley Hitmen 12U take an early lead, 3-0. Huntley Hitmen 12U pushed more runs across when S scored on an error and J scored on a groundout by Jake S.
Strike Zone Black pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the fourth. In the second, Strike Zone Black scored on an RBI single by Brokowski, plating M D.

Tyler led Huntley Hitmen 12U’s offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning.
