Jake S went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Huntley Hitmen 12U. He singled in the first and third innings.
Park Ridge Jr. Hawks Red jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Maloney started the rally for Park Ridge Jr. Hawks Red with a single. A stolen base then moved Maloney from first to second.
Huntley Hitmen 12U never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a groundout by Trent H and an RBI single by Jake S.
Huntley Hitmen 12U added two more runs in the bottom of the second. A bases loaded walk scored Jake R for the inning’s first run.
After pushing across one run in the top of the fourth, Park Ridge Jr. Hawks Red faced just a 4-2 deficit. A sacrifice fly by Pedd fueled Park Ridge Jr. Hawks Red’s comeback. Finally, Tyler R got Bednarek to ground out to end the threat.
It didn’t take long for Huntley Hitmen 12U to respond as it scored one run of its own in the fourth. Huntley Hitmen 12U scored on a passed ball.
