Huntley Hitmen 12U fell to Marengo Outlaws 5-4 on Thursday on the final play of the game. Marengo Outlaws was down 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Moehrlin singled off of Nikko E, driving in two runs.
Huntley Hitmen 12U took an early lead in the first inning. Nate T grounded out, scoring one run.
Ben B, Jake R, Trent H, Zyon S, Nate, Jeremy J, and Preston S each collected one hit to lead Huntley Hitmen 12U. Huntley Hitmen 12U tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Zyon led the way with three.
Moehrlin led Marengo Outlaws with three runs batted in. He went 3-for-3 on the day.
