Hitmen falls to Windy City 7-5 in spite of David K's performance

David K did all he could to give Hitmen a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Windy City, as Hitmen lost 7-5 in six innings on Sunday.
It was a good day at the plate for Hitmen’s David. David went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Windy City was sparked by #23 and #2, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
Windy City never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring one run on an RBI single by #2.
Windy City matched its three-run fourth inning with three more in the fifth. In the fourth, Windy City scored on an RBI triple by #23, plating #21.

  1. singled, bringing home #24 to start the inning. That was followed up by #21’s single, scoring #59.
    After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the fifth, Hitmen faced just a 7-2 deficit. A groundout by Preston S and an RBI single by Jake R set off Hitmen rally. The Hitmen threat came to an end when #3 finally got Tyler R to ground out.
    Three runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Hitmen close its deficit to 7-5. A wild pitch, an RBI single by Jeremy J, and an RBI single by David fueled Hitmen’s comeback. #14 got the last out, as Hitmen’s Jake R.
