Trent Hanson helps Hitmen down LITH Thunder - Gold 9-5

Trent Hanson had two extra base hits, helping Hitmen to a 9-5 victory over LITH Thunder – Gold on Saturday.
He doubled in the second and third innings.
LITH Thunder – Gold jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by #44, scoring #30 started the inning off.

Hitmen stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Jake Simpson.

Hitmen piled on five more runs in the bottom of the second. Preston Sarna singled, plating Trent and Jake Russell to start the inning. That was followed up by Zyon Schlee’s single, plating Preston.

After pushing across three runs in the top of the third, LITH Thunder – Gold faced just a 7-4 deficit. An RBI single by #30, a wild pitch, and a groundout by #12 set off LITH Thunder – Gold rally. Finally, Jake R induced an inning-ending ground out from #29.

After posting one run in the third, Hitmen again scored one in the fourth. In the third, Hitmen scored on a sacrifice fly by Preston, scoring Trent.

One run in the top of the fourth helped LITH Thunder – Gold close its deficit to 8-5. An RBI single by #42 triggered LITH Thunder – Gold’s comeback. Finally, Jake R got #1 to strike out to end the threat.
