Hitmen drops 15-5 game to Algonquin Storm

Hitmen wound up on the wrong side of a 15-5 score on Wednesday, tasting defeat at the hands of Algonquin Storm.

Alex Hernandez racked up two RBIs on one hit for Hitmen. He tripled in the third inning.

In the top of the first, Hitmen grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A three-run blast by Jeremy Jaehnig, bringing home Alex and Tyler Rojek started the inning off.

Algonquin Storm went up for good in the first, scoring four runs on a two-run double by #2 and two errors.

Algonquin Storm brought home four runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the second, Algonquin Storm scored on a two-run single by #27, plating #24 and #51.

A two-run third inning helped bring Hitmen within three. A two-run triple by Alex set off Hitmen rally. Algonquin Storm stopped the rally after #34 got Trent Hanson to strike out.

Algonquin Storm scored three runs of its own in the third. Algonquin Storm scored on a sacrifice fly by #24, an RBI single by #22, and a sacrifice fly by #51.
