Palatine Power falls 8-2 at the hands of Hitmen

Hitmen beat Palatine Power on Sunday 8-2 in six innings.

Hitmen fell 17-10 to Fishers Express in five innings on Saturday despite racking up eight hits and 10 runs.

Jake Russell went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Hitmen. He singled in the first and third innings.

Fishers Express easily handled Hitmen pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

The top of the first saw Hitmen take an early lead, 3-0. Hitmen’s threat began with a single by Jake R. More runs came home for Hitmen when E scored on a sacrifice fly by Jeremy Jaehnig and R scored.

Fishers Express stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring seven runs on an RBI double by #2, four singles, and a two-run triple by #13.

Fishers Express piled on six more runs in the bottom of the third. #24 doubled, bringing home #9, #3 and #20 to start the inning. That was followed up by #13’s triple, scoring #24 and #10.

A six-run fourth inning helped bring Hitmen within four. A passed ball, a two-run single by Trevor Knoll, an RBI single by David Kimpel, an RBI triple by Jake Simpson, and an error set off Hitmen rally. Trent Hanson struck out to end the Hitmen threat.

Fishers Express increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. #20’s single got things going, bringing home #3. That was followed up by #5’s triple, plating #20.

Jeremy Jaehnig carried Hitmen to a 10-3 victory over the Triple Crown Tigers on Friday with a strong game at the plate and on the rubber.

Jeremy racked up two RBIs on two hits for Hitmen. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

Jeremy pitched lights out for Hitmen. The Triple Crown Tigers managed just one hit off of J, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Hitmen beat the Triple Crown Tigers thanks to 10 hits, including one extra base hits. Hitmen scored four runs in the second on Hitmen scored in the second on an RBI triple by Jeremy, an RBI single by Zyon Schlee, and a groundout by Preston Sarna.

Hitmen and marengo outlaws volleyed the lead five times on Tuesday, but Hitmen came out on top for a 8-7 win on Tuesday.

Hitmen finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. Hitmen scored on an RBI single by Alex Hernandez off #49, scoring Jeremy Jaehnig.

Zyon Schlee led Hitmen’s offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He singled in the third inning.

Hitmen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Hitmen pushed more runs across when E scored on a groundout by Jake Russell.

Hitmen went up for good in the sixth scoring two total runs, which came home on two singles.

Hitmen beat Team Powerpipe on Friday 9-3 at Lippold Park – Blue Turf Field in six innings.

Hitmen scored four runs in the first on Hitmen scored in the first on an RBI single by Nikko Ezell, an RBI single by Jake Simpson, a groundout by Jake Russell, and an RBI single by David Kimpel.

Jake S paced Hitmen at the plate. Jake S went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.

Two runs in the top of the third helped Team Powerpipe close its deficit to 5-2. A groundout by #1 and an RBI triple by #22 triggered Team Powerpipe’s comeback. Finally, Trent Hanson induced an inning-ending ground out from #13.

Hitmen scored three runs of its own in the fifth. Hitmen scored on an RBI double by Jake R, a groundout by Jeremy Jaehnig, and an RBI double by Alex Hernandez.
