Trent Hanson had two extra base hits, helping Hitmen to a 9-5 victory over LITH Thunder – Gold on Saturday.
He doubled in the second and third innings.
LITH Thunder – Gold jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by #44, scoring #30 started the inning off.

Hitmen stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Jake Simpson.

Hitmen piled on five more runs in the bottom of the second. Preston Sarna singled, plating Trent and Jake Russell to start the inning. That was followed up by Zyon Schlee’s single, plating Preston.

After pushing across three runs in the top of the third, LITH Thunder – Gold faced just a 7-4 deficit. An RBI single by #30, a wild pitch, and a groundout by #12 set off LITH Thunder – Gold rally. Finally, Jake R induced an inning-ending ground out from #29.

After posting one run in the third, Hitmen again scored one in the fourth. In the third, Hitmen scored on a sacrifice fly by Preston, scoring Trent.

One run in the top of the fourth helped LITH Thunder – Gold close its deficit to 8-5. An RBI single by #42 triggered LITH Thunder – Gold’s comeback. Finally, Jake R got #1 to strike out to end the threat.

Hitmen drops 15-5 game to Algonquin Storm

Hitmen wound up on the wrong side of a 15-5 score on Wednesday, tasting defeat at the hands of Algonquin Storm.

Alex Hernandez racked up two RBIs on one hit for Hitmen. He tripled in the third inning.

In the top of the first, Hitmen grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A three-run blast by Jeremy Jaehnig, bringing home Alex and Tyler Rojek started the inning off.

Algonquin Storm went up for good in the first, scoring four runs on a two-run double by #2 and two errors.

Algonquin Storm brought home four runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the second, Algonquin Storm scored on a two-run single by #27, plating #24 and #51.

A two-run third inning helped bring Hitmen within three. A two-run triple by Alex set off Hitmen rally. Algonquin Storm stopped the rally after #34 got Trent Hanson to strike out.

Algonquin Storm scored three runs of its own in the third. Algonquin Storm scored on a sacrifice fly by #24, an RBI single by #22, and a sacrifice fly by #51.

Hitmen drops 9-3 game to CDBL Rockets

Despite Zyon Schlee’s 2-3 performance at the plate on Sunday, Hitmen took a 9-3 loss at the hands of CDBL Rockets .

CDBL Rockets was sparked by #00 and #9, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.

Five relief pitchers finished off the game for CDBL Rockets . #25 faced three batters in relief, while #8 managed to record three outs to aid the victory.

It didn’t take long for Hitmen to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the first. Hitmen scored on a sacrifice fly by Jake Simpson and a groundout by Alex Hernandez.

CDBL Rockets didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the third inning when it scored on a two-run double by #0 and an RBI single by #9.

CDBL Rockets tacked on another two runs in the fourth. A error scored #24 to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by #7’s single, scoring #5.

A one-run fourth inning helped bring Hitmen within three. A groundout by Alex gave Hitmen life. #1 ended the inning by getting Jeremy Jaehnig to ground out.

Hitmen lost 15-3 to CDBL Rockets on Sunday, despite a total of five hits.

CDBL Rockets easily handled Hitmen pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Home runs for CDBL Rockets came when #14 homered in the second inning and #00 homered in the second and third innings.

CDBL Rockets went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on two singles.

One run in the top of the second helped Hitmen close its deficit to 3-1. An RBI single by Trevor Knoll triggered Hitmen’s comeback. #9 ended the inning by getting Tyler Rojek to ground out.

CDBL Rockets quickly matched Hitmen’s strong inning with a seven-run inning of its own in the second. CDBL Rockets scored on a two-run home run by #14, an RBI triple by #4, an RBI single by #25, a two-run home run by #0, and an RBI single by #99.

One run in the top of the third helped Hitmen close its deficit to 10-2. An error gave Hitmen life. CDBL Rockets stopped the rally after #0 got Jake Russell to fly out.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fourth, Hitmen faced just a 14-3 deficit. A groundout by Tyler set off Hitmen rally. The game went final when Zyon Schlee.

Despite a big day at the dish from Jeremy Jaehnig, who finished 2-2, Hitmen lost 14-3 to Gamers 11u on Sunday.

#2, #23, #5 and #17 helped lead Gamers 11u. They combined for nine hits and five RBIs.

Gamers 11u built upon its lead with seven runs in the sixth. The inning got off to a hot start when #7 doubled, plating #6, #13 and #4.
